Non surgical treatments are good options for those who are not surgical candidates or prefer a different option.
Over time, these treatments are at least as costly as hair transplantation and none are permanent solutions to hairloss. Many are messy, inconvenient and time consuming creating a preoccupation with hairloss.
SURGICAL TREATMENTS:
Dr. Zacco will meet with you personally during a free consultation and determine if you are a candidate. Hair transplantation is the gold standard for hair restoration. It is the only permanent solution to hair loss that requires no additional care or cost. Hair transplantation is your own living hair that grows for life. Your transplanted hair will grow naturally and grey naturally. At AZ Hair Restoration, the natural appearance is virtually undetectable. Although the cost of hair transplantation is paid early in the process, it is usually less costly than the life time of cost and devotion required of non surgical options.
- Method One – Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation - Hair transplantation is the only permanent method of restoring hair. This procedure results in naturally restored hair to be totally maintenance free, FOREVER! This method requires the most capable hair transplant techs. Your transplanted follicles are living tissue and continue to produce (grow) hair for the rest of your life. It produces a permanent and more youthful appearance. The natural appearing transplantation is virtually undetectable.
- Method Two – Slicing thru follicular units indiscriminately by not using stereomicroscopes. This is currently the technique used throughout much of the country but is NOT the latest technology. This results in inefficiency and wasting of your harvested tissue (less grafts per amount of tissue harvested). Micro grafts and mini grafts are produced using this technique. These are larger grafts than ultra fine follicular units produced at AZ Hair Restoration using stereomicroscopes. It is difficult, if not impossible, to produce ultra fine follicular unit without the use of a microscope.
- Method Three – Large Plugs (never performed at AZHR since founded in 1996). This technique is outdated and should no longer be used as a method of hair transplantation.
